It’s Friday 6th August and it’s my day off! We’re having some friends around for dinner tonight so, of course this whole week has been about what I’m going to cook (I have done some work too, promise!). Will it be 3 courses? Should we have a starter? Cold or hot starter? Dessert? These are the thoughts that have been running through my head all week - I do sometimes have to remind myself that these are just our friends coming round for dinner.
I am a real fan of BBC Good Food (http://www.bbcgoodfood.com) and have had nothing but success and smiles from all I have done in the past, so I spent a ‘while’ trawling through their hundreds of great recipes and as John had requested something light n’ easy I have come up with asparagus, mozzarella & prosciutto parcels for the starter, sticky lemon chicken with a quinoa, courgette & feta salad for the main and delicious blueberry cheesecake pots for the dessert. Sound yum?
I’ll post some pics of the outcome soon, albeit a success of course!
So onto the cleaning and tidying of the house, then let the cooking and preparing begin...
