Celebrating with Gourmet Mum

I have a VERY talented and beautiful friend that creates easy-to-followtasty recipes and recently I was asked if I could help with her surprise party!

Party Theme

My inspiration for the theme was taken from her blogGourmet Mum.

So with this in mind, I kept to the polka dots and colour palette of the website and added a few kitchen utensils for cuteness.

Party Decor

Keeping in with the roundness of the theme, I clustered paper lanterns in each corner of the table with polka dot garlands hanging from each - I have to say, paper lanterns are a great alternative to balloons by the way! One thing I would have preferred though was colouredlanterns but it seems luck was not on my side and neither was time so I had to settle for white!

Using the digital paper I designed, I cut out little chef hats for wine glass charms, table confetti that was a spoon, egg flip, spatula, rolling pin, oven glove etc and food tents to label the meals cooked by friends using recipes from Gourmet Mum.

Party Food

As mentioned the buffet was all recipes from Gourmet Mum and as a little test we got her to name each of the dishes (without peeping at tent cards) and she passed with flying colours!

As this was quite a spread and perfect party food here are direct links to each of the delicious dishes:
